The LaserJet 4050 uses Resolution Enhancement technology (REt) and an UltraPrecise toner cartridge for sharp monochrome prints suitable for corporate presentations. The HP FastRes technology yields 1200 dpi prints at engine speed, powered by a 133 MHz NEC Vr4310 MIPS microprocessor and 8 MB RAM (upgradeable to 200 MB). The instant-on ceramic fuser gets the first page out in less than 15 seconds, from a warm or cold start.
